Tray sealing specialist Proseal has moved to a new factory in Australia.

The office and warehouse combination in Westmeadows, Melbourne is located close to the city’s international airport and major thoroughfares.

It will double Proseal’s Australian manufacturing capacity with six machining centers and an expanded assembly operation.

Customer support features include a “test kitchen” for evaluating and testing new packaging materials and tray/film combinations, a machine demonstration area, a large meeting room and a dedicated training center.

The plant will also house an extensive stock of spare parts to bolster Proseal’s service operations, including its preventive maintenance contracts.

The move responds to strong demand for Proseal’s wide range of tray sealing machines, as well as its recently introduced CP3 case packing system. It also develops tailor-made sealing solutions for customers in the food and non-food markets.

“Australia is a very important market for Proseal, and we are committed to providing the highest standards of service and support,” said Scott Templeton, Managing Director of Proseal Australia.

“The range of facilities within our new factory will both enhance our manufacturing capabilities and help customers identify the most appropriate solution for their needs and get the most out of the equipment they choose.”

The new facility will also house AutoCoding Systems, another subsidiary of Proseal’s parent company, JBT, as well as JBT’s diversified food and health operations.
